This is Uhbu's Guest House! We are a cozy little guest house in Dongdaemun area, only 10 - 15 minutes away from Kyung Hee University, HUFS, Korea University and the University of Seoul respectively.
Apart from a private twin room with kitchen (please contact us for details!), we also offer short term stays for our guest house double room. The room can be shared by 2 people and features a private bathroom / shower room.
The area features a little river that connects to the famous Cheongyecheon Stream, as well a 3 traditional markets (Korean traditional medicine market, fruit market and fish market) and is only one stop or 10 minutes walk from Cheongnyangi Station, where you can take the ITX speed train to Nami Island or other destinations. Super markets, restaurants, convenience stores and pharmacies and all conveniently located around the guest house.
Inside the guesthouse, we provide you with free breakfast and free shower utentils including body wash, shampoo and conditioner, among many other features. There is a kitchen to cook your own meals, too! You can watch TV (you can also use pay TV to see the most recent Korean movies!), there is internet and of course, we do have a laundry machine too. Everything you need for your daily living is actually provided inside the guest house.
The price per night is usually 22,000 KRW per day, but if you plan to stay for a month, you could stay at the guesthouse for 15,000 KRW / day or less. Of course, we are quite flexible here so please contact us for further info.
Why chose this place over another place?
The family owning the guest house is really kind and go above and beyond to make you feel at home in their guesthouse. You can experience authentic Korean food and of course, feel real Korean hospitality. The neighborhood is very traditional too, so you get a feeling for the "old" Seoul from back in the days better than at any other location in Seoul. Also, there is German, English and Japanese speaking staff working at the guest house, so if you have any questions about life in Korea or how to deal with visa, banks, phones etc, our staff can help you.
This being said...! We look forward to hear from you!
Please feel free to contact us any time in English, Korean, Japanese or German! Have a great day!
