After a 9-day tour with our extended family, my own family and I (5pax) had the remaining 3 days in Seoul to ourselves, so we decided to check ourselves into an apartment (which is a cheaper option to hotels and we confirmed we made the right choice for more reasons after checking in!)
Firstly, the apartment was spacious (definitely bigger than seen in the photos here) than so all the hotels we stayed in. The apartment could house up to 6 pax but 5 would be just right. The rooms were really spacious too! Especially for us, we had at least 6 luggages so the space was really good for us!
Secondly the apartment was well heated. It was winter so the cold could get bad at night but with the floor well heated, we had 2 nights of good sleep!
Thirdly, Bbungalow's actually a cafe/bar on the first level, with the second level converted to an apartment. This means we could enjoy a cup of coffee or booze at any time of the day (they close at 2am). All of us enjoyed a cup of welcome drink when we checked in. I loved the cocktail concocted for me (which I then realised it was not in the menu!) that I had to have it again on my last night.
Fourthly, the host Ahram is really friendly and helpful, plus she could converse well in English which was a surprise and blessing for us because most of the koreans we met in Korea couldn't speak well in English. The people at the cafe/bar were friendly too!
Lastly, the location was good too. Pretty centralised and near to Gyeongbokgung Station (about 10 mins walk since it's winter and we walked slow). Quiet at night too.
Other than having problems adjusting to the perfect temperature for the shower, all of us enjoyed our stay!- Jiaying Sim
